According to The Associated Press, a 20-year-old guy has admitted to killing Pop Smoke voluntarily. The man, who was one of four people indicted in the killing, also admitted guilt to home invasion robbery in Inglewood juvenile court. Due to the fact that he was only 17 years old when the murder occurred, his name has been hidden from the court. He was given a prison term of four years and two months for juveniles.
In connection with the Brooklyn rapper’s killing, which took place on February 19, 2020 as part of a house invasion at a Los Angeles AirBnB, three adults and two minors were detained.
Corey Walker and Keandre Rodgers, two of the adults, are accused of murder and could receive the death penalty if found guilty. The other juvenile involved in the case is accused of murder while committing a robbery and a burglary; his name has been suppressed because he was under 15 years old at the time of the shooting. Jaquan Murphy, the fifth person detained, was never charged in relation to the homicide.
