Melissa Barrera: Scream 7 fired actress over postings on Israel and Gaza.

The producers of the next Scream movie dismissed actress Melissa Barrera from the project, citing antisemitic remarks she made on social media about Palestine.

The celebrity has shared several posts on the Israel-Gaza conflict, including one in which she charged Israel with “genocide and ethnic cleansing.”

Spyglass, a production business, declared that it will tolerate no antisemitism.

In the meantime, Susan Sarandon’s Hollywood agency fired her for speaking at a pro-Palestinian demonstration.

Thelma & Louise actress Sarandon has not addressed her predicament.

The Mexican actress Barrera defended her remarks on Wednesday night.

“I think a group of people are not their leadership and that no governing body should be above criticism,” the woman stated in an Instagram post.

“I pray all day and all night for a peaceful coexistence, an end to violence, and no more deaths.” I’ll keep speaking up for those who are most in need and fighting for freedom, human rights, and peace and safety.

“Silence is not an option for me.”

Barrera reposted a remark from another account on her Instagram story prior to the announcement of her resignation, saying, “At the end of the day, I’d rather be excluded for who I include, than be included for who I exclude.”

Some of her fans have taken that post to mean that she was fired from the movie.
